2008 -
This is the year for a new CD and a trip to the Czech Republic. Watch this space!
2007 -
We have a new soprano, Helen Miles, and a new bass, Arno Proeme, who comes from the Netherlands.
Claire Altree is now Claire Warden. And we have a new Claire, just to confuse things.
Mirren has stepped aside from singing, but is still a very active supporter and has joined the ranks of our patrons. Peter 2 has also taken a break from singing after ten years with us.
Magali announces the arrival of Léandre Louis Callum, a brother for Sixtine, born on Monday 2nd July at 2.50am - 4 kg (8.84 lbs), 53.5 cm (21.1 inch). And, not to be outdone, Suzanna has a new son Ronan, born on Tuesday 4th December, a brother for Maia.
Frances was finally declared fit after her achilles tendon problem of two years ago. Here's what she did with the much-loathed shoes that she was obliged to wear for months during her treatment. More recently, she has at last bought the camper-van that she has wanted for years - a nice new one. She tried a classic VW van and found it delightful and nostalgic and an absolute b*gg*r to drive, so she has opted for something modern that offers torque and a workable gearbox in preference to flower power.
In July, the twenty-one of us hosted a visiting choir of forty, Svatobor, from Sušice in the Czech Republic, who proved to be the most lovely and friendly people as well as singing frighteningly well. Thanks to Anne's command of logistics, we managed to fit them all into our homes for bed and breakfast, transport them and their luggage (including cello and double bass) hither and yon through Edinburgh, lay on meals for sixty (haggis and whisky supper included), organise a very successful concert, and follow it with a party and an impromptu ceilidh.

Anna and Ben tell us that they and the family are doing very well in New Zealand, and the big news is that they were married on May 16th.
Frances handed over the reins to Ollie and Anne in a very smooth and well-prepared transition, and soon had a new all-women group of her own: The Wild Myrtles - six singers, among them Sari and Alison.
2006 -
